Jason Dutton |
Jason
started judo at the age of 7,training at the Carlton Forum sports centre.
He entered numerous competitions as a junior & senior. After training
at Carlton Forum he moved to Hyson Green judo club and Ryecroft Judokwai.
When he reached blue belt he stopped grading & entered only competitions.
He restarted grading 8 years ago obtaining his first Dan (taking a line up) in 1988. He joined Portland judo club in the same year & was offered a position of club coach. He graded again obtaining his 2nd Dan (taking a line) in 1999.In 2002 he attained his 3rd Dan. Jason took a silver medal in the 2001 National Kata championship in the Nage-no-kata category. In 2005 Jason entered the British masters where he won Bronze in the - 73kg m1 section. He acquired his senior club coach award in 2006. At the 2007 northwest masters he took silver medal

Gary Mellors |
Gary
began Judo 10 years ago, at the time he had been kick boxing for 6
years, his boxing coach was also an experienced black belt judoka,
he talked him to trying out judo, form then on he was hooked. He attained his first Dan, coaching license & referee qualification in 2001. In 2004 Gary achieved his 2nd Dan & is now currently working towards his 3rd Dan. Recent accomplishments are a Bronze medal in the
Northwest Masters - 81 kg section & a gold/silver in the Saxony
